Starter Post...
Just a couple of weeks ago I achieved the outer look I wanted for my M4 (Varmint), all done using PVC pipes. It's a challenge for me and was happy how it turned out. And now, after the look I am now thinking of stepping up the performance and move to the internals. 2 things in mind: its either I do the less expensive upgrade or go all the way. The les expensive one would be getting an AK length barrel (already contacted one fabricator and told me its going to cost me 1.7k) and a Type 0 cylinder, the rest of the gun would be stock. If I decide to do the expensive one these will be the parts i'll be getting: Reinforced Gearbox, Super Torque Up Helical gears, PDI 190 spring and new batts. As I am writing the parts down I guess I know what I will be doing - I'll be getting the barrel instead. With a longer barrel that also means that I have to make another front assembly for the Varmint type. I Just have to find time when to do this.
Stumbled on a site which made a great review of BB's, here is the link just in case you are interested:

It's a good read.

Road Test!
After my conversion this is now how it looks... sweet =)
Not again...
It's really funny just a week ago or two, I forgot and too lazy to check, I was having a hard time deciding what to do with my gun should I turn it into the sniper rifle that I want it to be or to a CQB type ( preferably Uzi )- I just solved that problem and was able to do both. Now, I am again having a hard time of whether I go to World Trade Center to attend the RPC ( it's an online game event that happens only once a year) or go to the gamesite to play and test my modified replica. Really like to do both, but I can't.
I just took a picture of my "Varmint" ( sorry for the quality, I used my webcam - ran out of battery for the digi cam ) and posted it here hehehe...
OTHER NOTE:
Beef Stew Noodles... Pho Hoa'... <>.... yuuummmmm....
FORGET ABOUT THE RPC, FORGET ABOUT PLAYING... I AM GOING TO PHO HOA' and NOTHING, NO, NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP ME FROM GETTING MY NOODLES TODAY! THAT IS MY MISSION!!! AND IT CANNOT BE DELAYED! - I CANNOT FURTHER MORE THE SITUATION ... dammit! 7:02 pa lang ng umaga tagal pa ng 10:00 gutttooommm naaa aakkkkooooo!!!!
UPDATE (again):
Was not able to do any of my supposed activity yesterday, was not able to go to the RPC, play Airsoft or get to eat my noodles at Pho Hoa' but at least my wife got a new cell phone ( they swapped ), thanks Bong and Mel, God bless you both! And I was proud that the silencer I made worked for Bong's AK replica also. hehehehehe....
AAARRRGGGGHH!!!!
Okay. As I was browsing an Airsoft forum, I stumbled upon a topic which really got me mad! According to one of the moderators that the PNP and another group are organizing a plan on raiding Airsoft gamesites. WTF! Are they really using their heads or are they just abusing their power? Airsoft is still in the gray area and is not really considered illegal! So why the hell are planning a raid? To keep the confiscated replicas for themselves or sell them to make some bucks. They say they are securing the public - the way I see it, they are just securing their pockets!
The story was when one Airsoft enthusiast was about to go home he was stopped at a checkpoint, he then rolled down his windows and the officer saw that he was wearing a camouflage pants (reckless of him, but I too am guilty of this and I don't see anything wrong wearing one) then the officer said "nag e-airsoft ka no?" then immediately called upon the other "guardians of peace - @$$#0[3$" and said to his comrades "dalin na natin sa Crame ito..." the guy offered P500.00 to the officer to let him go, apparently this guy had his fair share of hold ups and knows what to do, unfortunately for him the officer declined the offer, instead they just asked for food money - ALL FOR 7 OF THEM. WTF is happening here? Airsoft is not illegal. It's just another form of sports which those damn bastards are taking advantage of. Why is Paintball being let off the hook, just because the guns used in Airsoft are real-looking doesn't mean it's real. Scary thing is, when someone with power to exercise authority see an opportunity to exploit a still-not-clear law it is immediately subjected to their own interpretation; the sad part of this is, some, if not most, are making money out of it. I have seen this kind of scenarios a lot and in different forms. What is happening? More and more crocs are showing up. It's high time they do something about those crooked son's-of-b#!@#3$.
Sorry about this I know there are good ones out there I am not saying all of them are bad. This is just to vent out what I feel!
Abuse of power!
Ultra Vires Act: Act beyond the scope of it's authority! It's a widely practiced act from the likes of them.
Dark Justice is in order!
M4 S-SYSTEM to VARMINT!!!
Finally! I was only thinking of how do I make my gun to a Varmint type then all of a sudden I just found myself making the parts and putting it together. To my amazement, this has been one of the fastest mods I made, two days to complete the front assembly, it's half finished as I haven't painted it yet. Hopefully the gun holds together hahaha... eager to test it this week. I will definitely post a picture here once I really finished it 100%
What can I say its more lighter or maybe not, not sure - but I think it is. It also has that integrated silencer wahooo ( really obsessed with silencers ;P ). I hope everything is okay. One way to find out, play it!
Total cost: P160+
135 for the PVC
25 for the sponge
"+" other stuff which I was not able to use...maybe in another future mod - UZI type?
I was able to save 2.7k as the front assembly alone will cost 3k and the barrel is not yet there... I really love modding hehehhe...
UPDATE:
Finished painting the parts and putting other stuff to make it look more appealing. I can now say the MOD is complete! Incidentally, the CQB project also became possible with the MOD, not to an uzi type though, it can now also convert into an MP5 sized gun, but I need to buy another hop-up unit to make this easy conversion HURAAH! Got to glue the last part though hehehe...
UPDATE:
I just learned that when I convert my M4 Varmint to a CQB gun its called Patriot. I happen to browse the guns gallery at the forum and saw its design and designation.
To paint or not to paint...
I saw my friend's gun on a picture he sent me. It was a well done job, but half finished. Just before he sent me that, I was thinking of painting my gun as well but I am not that confident with my painting skill so i decided to just buy a cloth, soak it in a glue solution and stick it like you would a sticker. That way, I wont worry much on the details as I will try to look for a cloth with grass designs. Anyway, this would be on my to-do list once laziness gets out of my system which I don't know when heheheh...but I think this would be a new approach.
Also tried KFC's fully loaded meal, if you really want to eat heavy this one's for you!
M4 Transform!
As I am very excited to see my M4 finished as a sniping rifle to my specification, I am now torn anew of turning it to a CQB gun - to something like an uzi, which I saw at the latest AX mag. Should I pursue this, It would make it a more SMALLER and LIGHTER gun. I want to practice my sneaking skills for now and my current setup isn't sneaker-friendly. Undecided as I am if i will do it - I am yet again forced to take down my M4 to see if the parts I have with me will make the project doable.
GOGOGOGO think not of the obstacle there is in the way but the challenges it presents. The harder it is to accomplish the more fun it is going to be!!!
